The 3D model of the Arringatore (Museo Archeologico Nazionale, Firenze, Italy) has been produced with active 3D scanning (laser-based system) in the framework of a restoration project (2008-2009). It is a Romano-Etruscan masterpiece from the late second century or early first century BCE in the Roman style and depicts an Etruscan man, Aule Metele, wearing a short Roman toga and footwear. His right arm is raised to indicate that he is an orator addressing the public.
